Tennessee Businesses Giving Back to Veterans

About the Veteran’s Appreciation Program of Tennessee

Honoring Service. Connecting Communities. Supporting Veterans.

The Veteran’s Appreciation Program of Tennessee was founded on Veterans Day in 2015 by a disabled Vietnam-era veteran who believed appreciation should be more than words.

It should be visible.
It should be practical.
And it should make a real difference.

Our mission is simple:

To connect veterans and military families with Tennessee businesses that proudly offer discounts as a tangible way to say “thank you” for their service.

Why We Exist

Across Tennessee, thousands of veterans and active-duty military members live, work, and raise families in our communities. Many businesses want to honor their service but don’t always have a clear way to reach them.

We bridge that gap.

We enlist and promote businesses that are committed to offering discounts on products and services to veterans and military members. In return:

  • Veterans discover businesses that support them.

  • Businesses gain visibility and loyal customers.

  • Communities grow stronger through gratitude and connection.

How the Program Works

For Veterans & Military Families

  • Search by city or county to find participating businesses.

  • View the discount offered.

  • Present valid military or veteran ID to receive savings.

Our goal is to make finding discounts easy, organized, and accessible across Tennessee.

For Participating Businesses

Businesses that join the program:

  • Offer a discount to veterans and military members.

  • Are listed on our website directory.

  • Are promoted to veteran and military organizations.

  • Receive an official Veteran’s Appreciation Program decal to display on their door or window — a visible sign of their commitment to those who served.

Participation is a powerful way to demonstrate gratitude while also strengthening relationships within the local community.

Giving Back

While the Veteran’s Appreciation Program operates as a for-profit business, our mission goes beyond listings and directories.

We donate to veteran-focused organizations, including:

  • The Ben Atchley State Veterans Home

We also work to serve as a bridge for veterans seeking assistance by:

  • Sharing information about available veteran services

  • Helping connect veterans to resources

  • Supporting rural veterans who may feel overlooked, forgotten, or discouraged from seeking help

We believe no veteran should feel invisible.

A Tennessee-Based Commitment

The Veteran’s Appreciation Program of Tennessee is dedicated to serving communities across our state — from major cities to small rural towns.

Our focus is local.
Our mission is personal.
Our gratitude is ongoing.
